Agência Brasil since 2013

9,000+ news stories translated into Spanish since 2013 4 million+ words (estimate as of 09/2026)

Since 2013, I’ve been translating news stories from Agência Brasil into Spanish, with a translator credit at the end of each one. Agência Brasil is the public news agency of EBC, Brazil’s public media company. The stories come out daily and cover politics, the economy, justice, human rights, culture, education, and the environment, written for Spanish-speaking readers.

At EBC, I also translate legal and administrative documents between Portuguese and Spanish, edit texts in Spanish, and help develop the style guides for the foreign-language team.

The figures above are a conservative estimate: three stories per business day since June 2013, based on the average length of my credited stories in 2026.
